SWS/S&M: Remove all envelopes for selected tracks.Xenakios/SWS: Reset volume and pan of selected tracks.SWS/S&M: Remove receives from selected tracks.SWS/S&M: Remove sends from selected tracks.SWS/S&M: Clear FX chain for selected tracks.I almost never want to open just an FX, and I much prefer that the FX Chain window appear centered over my mouse so that I do not have to move around for it. SWS/BR: Move active floating window to mouse cursor (horizontal: middle, vertical: middle).SWS/S&M: Show FX chain for selected tracks (selected FX).F - Open and Center FX Chain for Selected Track.I find this much more useful for resetting the view after a deep zoom-dive. The idea is to zoom to show all items and tracks if possible. Reaper’s “View: Zoom out project” does not do this. This allows me to hover over a track, press Q, and have the HeDa_Track_Inspector VIP pop-up for that track. Q - Custom: HeDa_Track_Inspector VIP under cursor.Shift-Opt - Marquee add to notes/CC Selection.Shift - Marquee select notes/CC and time ignoring snap.Default action - Marquee select notes/CC and time.Shift - Custom: Select item and move cursor (Snap).Default action - Custom: Select item and move cursor (Snap).Cmd-Opt - Marquee add to item selection.Shift-Opt - Marque select items and time ignoring snap.I don’t want to have a +shift action that doesn’t change snapping behaviour.Shift - Select item and move edit cursor ignoring snap.Scrolling down should show me “new” information, and this does that. I dislike the “normal” scroll direction.Shift-Mousewheel - View: Scroll horizontally reversed (MIDI CC relative/mousewheel).This is a HUGE improvement to dealing with floating windows.F1 - SWS/BR: Move active floating window to mouse cursor (horizontal: middle, vertical: middle).Sometimes I do want to remove loop points though.Cmd-ESC - Time selection: Remove time selection and loop points.Default removes loop points, I rarely want to remove loop points.ESC - Time selection: Remove time selection.Opt-, - View: Restore previous zoom level. This is the easiest key for me to hit that is unassigned by default.Shift-Q -Script: HeDa_Loudness Graph VIP.lua.Q - Item: Quantize item positions to grid….Changed because I use ReaConsole frequently.Cmd-Opt-, - Options: MIDI editor mouse modifier preferences….shift-1 - SWS: Vertical zoom to selected tracks.I’ll have the item followed by an explanation if any. The following setup is what I’ve determined to be fairly permanent. I use Visual Studio Code, since this is where I write my blog posts as well. Open terminal.app and run “diff file1 file2”.Save each of these files with unique names. In both programs, run the help->Key bindings and mouse modifiers (shift-F1) command. The /Applications/ install will have all default settings and my portable installe which has all my custom settings. I have a second REAPER64.app renamed to “Reaper Default.app” in my /Applications/ folder.I have my main installation as a portable install.I’ve changed a small number of shortcuts and mouse modifiers. I will retain old settings in an archived location that I will denote here when appropriate. Changes made in the Reaper menus or elsewhere. Here are the general configuration changes that I’ve made in Reaper Preferences.Select item and move cursor (no snapping). It will be labeled with the last update as well. I will also be adding my Radial Menu, Contextual Toolbars and anything else I see fit here. I will be keeping this up to date everytime I change something. I decided to split out my Reaper settings in to its own blog post.
